I’m a Staff Developer Advocate at Grafana Labs where I enjoy helping users make the most out of the Grafana stack. In my past life, I worked as a consultant, trainer, and support engineer at Elastic. I’ve always loved automating things and anything that helps users confidently move from development to production. I enjoy sharing with the community, and you can find me co-organizing Grafana’s meetups in Barcelona, Madrid, Amsterdam, or Lisboa, as well as Cloud Native Barcelona and Software Crafters Barcelona meetups. I am a member of the TechFems Barcelona community, currently serving as treasurer and coach.

Nå ønsker vi å gi deg et innblikk i hvordan vi bygger applikasjoner og hvordan hendelsesdrevne systemer kan brukes for å løse komplekse utfordringer på en effektiv og elegant måte. Vi starter med en introduksjon til sentrale prinsipper bak hendelsesdrevne systemer, før vi setter i gang med et “gamified” opplegg der dere koder sammen to og to. Gjennom kurset skal dere utvikle en applikasjon som kobles til Kafka og mottar utfordringer som applikasjonen må håndtere. Dette blir en morsom workshop med litt utfordring og mye moro!

In this Instruqt lab, participants will learn to manage PKI certificates for OpenShift using the Vault Secrets Operator by installing and configuring VSO, setting up Vault’s JWT authentication for OpenShift workloads, connecting Vault with VSO, requesting TLS certificates for applications, and securely deploying and exposing those applications with TLS-enabled Ingress before practicing by provisioning a new certificate.

In the world of software architecture, constraints breed creativity. This 2-hour, hands-on workshop challenges you to build a functional micro-service architecture with a demanding set of limitations: exactly 12 micro-services, each under 30 lines of code, and aggregate response times below 10ms.

Do you want to get a hands-on experience and learn more about the options for running Java on Public Cloud, using Google Cloud as an example? We will explore various options for running workloads written using the latest Java and Jakarta EE versions on serverless offerings like CloudRun (or Knative). Furthermore, we will look at optimizing your runtime performance using various frameworks and Native Image compilation.
